 Sunrise on West Bass lake Originally known as Walhalla, Ellsburg Township was incorporated July 7, 1914. Ellsburg Township is a quiet rural community with a population of 181 and an average age of 45. Set amongst numerous lakes and scenic wetlands, the area has many cabins and seasonal dwellings.
Ellsburg Township Hall is located at 1767 Melrude Road, Melrude, MN 55766. The office is open the second and last Mondays of the month from noon until 2 p.m.

Who: Business owners and community members who will be affected by MnDOT’s “J-Turn Project” at the intersection of TH 53 and St. Louis CSAH 52
Where: Wilbert Café and Dining Room
When: 10 am on Thursday, April 19th
Deb Ledvina, on behalf of Commissioner Tom Sorel, will be at the Wilbert Café and Dining Room at 10 am on Thursday, April 19th. Deb Ledvina will be visiting the businesses in the Town of Cotton to discuss and explore ideas of how business and community impacts can be reduced during and after the construction of this project.
A member of MnDOT’s District 1 staff, Rob Ege, will also be at the gathering.
Please stop by, meet Deb, and share your thoughts as MnDOT moves forward with the project.
