Originally known as Walhalla, Ellsburg Township was incorporated July 7, 1914. Ellsburg Township is a quiet rural community with a population of 181 and an average age of 45. Set amongst numerous lakes and scenic wetlands, the area has many cabins and seasonal dwellings.




Ellsburg Towship Hall is located at 1767 Melrude Road, Melrude, MN 55766. The office is open the second and last Mondays of the month from noon until 2 p.m.
